What our Moderators do:
The Moderator is a leader, subject matter expert, relationship builder, and skilled facilitator whose mission is to deliver:
- Conversations that empower members and that could happen nowhere else.
- Connections between members and with the group, building community pride and identity.
- Control of the experience, guaranteeing a focused, distraction-free conversation with only the most qualified members by upholding the principles of our community.
- Care for the happiness, success, and emotional needs of our members by giving them a safe space and trusted environment.

What we’re looking for:
Some characteristics we tend to look for are:
- Great knowledge of online legal issues and cool under pressure
- Being an active member, in frequency of visits and posting.
- Team player, detail focused and reliable.
- The ability to communicate clearly.
- Working operational knowledge and understanding of online community platform moderation tools (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Commenting etc.)

How to become our Moderator:
We have an established process for selecting new moderators: If you know of a user (including yourself) who fits the characteristics we've outlined, please send email us at HR@ExpatHub.com.au including a link to their user page and a short sentence explaining why they would make a good moderator.
A member of our team will acknowledge your suggestion, however we never comment on the user's chances of being appointed. New moderators are selected by the existing moderator team based on our own observations.
